Curating Life Stories: Special Edition — Ep. 1 An interview with David DeCamillis

David hugging his wife after his isolation was lifted!

A first-hand account of surviving the COVID-19 virus from David DeCamillis one of Colorado’s first-wave survivors. Like many people first hearing about the pandemic, he was continuing life as usual, then things changed very quickly for the country and for him personally.

Quarantined and isolated in his basement from March 17th – 31st, hear how he dealt with the ups and downs of the physical ailments as well as the mental effects — frustration, fear and depression. Recovering quickly now and back to his positive self, he’s ready to donate his blood and plasma once he gets the green light. He knows it is super-blood with anti-bodies that can help others who have the virus and help with research efforts.

He’s offered to talk to others with the virus currently in isolation, as he would have liked to have talked with someone when he was going through it.

Please post any questions or comments for David on this site and I’ll be sure to get them to him and make requested connections. Stay safe people!
