After raising her kids, she discovers Darkness to Light the Stewards of Children and finds it helps her in dealing with the abuse she experienced as a young girl and inspires her to help other kids and now her grandchildren stay safe.
Kim’s now a certified instructor and authorized facilitator informing children about body safety, and educating parents, teachers and other adults on child sexual abuse prevention.
What’s served her best is her passion — knowing she can make a difference for even one child — and her work ethic. Her words of wisdom: “Listen to your higher power or being and where you’re being directed to go.”
