Curating Career Life Stories: How Did I Get Here? Episode 92 – An interview with Bill Roth
Join me for the career reflections of Bill Roth, founder of the Basics Team. As a young man he knew he wanted to be a businessman. Whether working for himself delivering two paper routes, mowing lawns, shoveling snow — or working for someone else at the local brickyard, turf farm or driving a truck.
Even after earning a BA in business, he knows he needs someone who’s successful in business to teach him about being a businessman. He finds that right mentor who helps him launch a successful business career, becoming lifelong friends, and it’s how he meets his wife of 50 plus years.
Bill’s now coaching young business owners on the basics of business. What’s served him best: being addicted to learning; finding his perfect Daily Method of Operation (DMO) to maximize his productivity; and constantly looking to simplify his life and career.
His words of wisdom: “Exercise has always been a big part of my life. And the greatest therapist in the world is mother nature, so exercising outdoors even better.”
