Curating Career Life Stories: How Did I Get Here? Episode 71 – An interview with Jen Coken
Join me for the career reflections of Jen Coken, executive leadership coach, Fortune 500 speaker and imposter syndrome expert. A journey that starts in politics, crosses into non-profit organizations, with stints in consulting, corporate and stand-up comedy, and now coaching.
Wanting to make a difference in the world and totally inspired by one of her first college professors, she becomes an activist and pursues a master’s degree in political campaign management. Driven to do more, and make more of a difference, her career follows a series of recruitment opportunities. Where she loves the challenge of getting ideas/causes started, funded and moving forward, then she’s ready for the next opportunity. Until now! She loves, loves, loves what she’s doing – helping to empower women!
Two things have served her best: “1) always having hope and being positive that things will turn out, and 2) tenacity, which you don’t have to be born with, but you have to be willing to try things out and be willing to fail!”
