One way that I’m celebrating my five year anniversary is by sharing some of the wonderful and amazing life stories that I have been trusted to bring to life.
I’ll be featuring these stories in upcoming weeks by sharing a bit about the story and how it all came together.
In the video below, you’ll meet Eleanor Allen who captured and celebrated her mom’s life story. Eleanor shares why she wanted to capture her mom’s story (she’s 91!) and what it means to her mom and their entire family having it documented.
Eleanor’s Mom Marieke’s Story — starts with her ancestors and their stories, then shifts to stories about what it was like for Marieke growing up in Holland in an upper-class Dutch family. But her life changes drastically when Germany invades Holland during WWII. Now her stories are about delivering secret papers for the Underground, a 4-day bike trip searching for food and hiding in their home in the winter without power or heat. After the war, and after graduating high school, she immigrates to the United States where she earns a bachelors degree in occupational therapy, starts a career and meets her husband. Forty-nine years of marriage, five kids, a boatload of grandkids and a lifetime of memories!
Think about the loved ones in your life, wouldn’t they be honored to have their stories captured and celebrated.
